How did cars become gods in our civilization? We (my boys and I) wanted to express our feeling that perhaps cars are not gods. This was not too long after 9/11. There was so much sadness, and we thought we could cheer things up a bit. We were also making a political statement. Conflict over oil has terrible consequences.
It was a white car, too, just asking to be painted.
We were inspired by Wassily Kandinsky. He was a painter who was born in Moscow and spent his childhood in Odessa (where Ooma always said she was from.)
Primary colors--red, blue, and yellow, tend to be inherently playful, don't you think?
